Clinical Supervision in Connecticut

Supervision built to develop
you, not someone else's practice.

Individual telehealth supervision for LPC-Associates and counseling interns who want to think like a therapist, not just function like one.

You went into this field because you wanted to actually help people. You are working hard, showing up, doing the hours. And somewhere in the middle of all of it, you are realizing that a lot of what supervision offers is training you to be useful within a specific system, without much thought for what kind of clinician you actually want to become.

The caseload is growing. The notes are piling up. The line between caring about your clients and burning out for them is getting harder to find. You need someone who will take your clinical development seriously, not just check your hours and sign your paperwork. You need supervision that helps you build a career you can actually sustain.

Supervision That Develops You as a Clinician, Not a Cog

A lot of supervisors, particularly those working within agency or group practice settings, are training you to become a benefit to their network. The cases they prioritize, the documentation styles they enforce, the clinical frameworks they push, all of it is often shaped by what serves their practice, not your development as a whole clinician.

My supervision approach is different. I am invested in you developing into a competent, confident clinician who could branch out into any setting you choose, including eventually running your own practice if that is where you want to go. That means we go beyond case consultation and clinical reasoning. We build your therapeutic identity. We talk about what kind of therapist you actually want to be, and we work backward from there.

Collaborative, practical, and built around the clinician you are becoming.

"We don't just tackle case consultation. We develop a therapeutic identity and navigate the real conditions of being in this field."

Clinical Supervision in Connecticut That Goes the Full Distance

Four areas that most supervision leaves out entirely.

Case consultation and clinical identity

We work through your active cases with real clinical rigor: diagnostic reasoning, treatment planning, and how to think through complex presentations. We also do the deeper work of developing your therapeutic identity, your voice, your values as a clinician, and the populations you are drawn to work with.

Insurance, documentation, workplace dynamics, and career

Nobody teaches you the things that will actually shape your career: how to navigate insurance boundaries, manage workplace dynamics, advocate for yourself in a clinical setting, and make decisions about your professional path with clarity rather than just following the default trajectory.

Systems for managing your caseload without burning out

Executive functioning for therapists is underserved in every supervision model I have seen. We build practical systems for managing your caseload, prioritizing notes, completing documentation without dread, and protecting the mental bandwidth you need to actually show up for your clients.

Burnout prevention and building a career that fits your life

This is the work that determines whether you stay in this field ten years from now. We talk about work-life balance not as a platitude but as a clinical and professional skill. How do you build a career that feels sustainable for who you are and what you actually need? That conversation belongs in supervision.

What Clinical Supervision Sessions Actually Look Like

Practical, clinician-centered, and never one-size-fits-all.

Sessions begin with what you are carrying: the case that kept you up, the documentation that is not getting done, the situation at your practice that nobody is talking about. We meet the real conditions of your work before we move into anything else.

We start with what is alive for you right now

We think through your cases with you, not for you

Case consultation in my supervision is collaborative, not directive. I am not here to tell you what to do with your clients. I am here to help you develop the clinical reasoning to figure it out yourself, with confidence. That is the difference between a supervisee who depends on their supervisor and one who grows into an independent clinician.

We build practical systems alongside the clinical work

Documentation, caseload management, task completion, burnout prevention. These are not peripheral to your clinical development. They are central to your ability to sustain it. We address them directly, with the same seriousness we give to diagnosis and treatment planning.

We track your growth as a clinician over time

Supervision should show you where you have come from and where you are going. We pay attention to the arc of your development: the moments of confidence, the patterns you are still working through, and the clinical identity that is taking shape. You should leave each period of supervision knowing more about the kind of therapist you are becoming.

The first 20 minutes are free. No commitment, no paperwork. Just a conversation.

Who I Work With in Supervision

And the areas I am most equipped to support.

ELIGIBLE SUPERVISEES

I offer individual clinical supervision via telehealth to Licensed Professional Counselor Associates (LPC-As) and graduate students in clinical mental health counseling programs completing internship hours toward LPC licensure in Connecticut. All sessions are conducted virtually, making this accessible regardless of where in the state you are located.

CLINICAL AREAS OF FOCUS

My strongest supervision offerings are in neurodivergent-affirming practice, executive functioning support, boundary setting, and CBT and DBT skill building. If you are interested in developing your clinical skills with neurodivergent populations or in building the kind of practical, adaptive practice style that this population requires, this supervision is built for that.
